Fashion Design

Year 1 students will learn about the Elements and Principles of Design for fashion designers (the tools).  They will meet once a week for one marking period to gain an understanding of the design process.

 

Year 2 students will learn how to care and repair clothing.   A focus will be on hand sewing techniques and when to apply each one.

 

Year 3 students will learn how to use a sewing machine safely and correctly.  They will be introduced to reading patterns and creating simple projects.  These skills will prepare them for the Fashion Design program in high school.
